Our Services

Financial Planning with Purpose

Financial planning is not an investment product, but rather an ongoing process designed to help you achieve your goals by making smart decisions. It begins by evaluating your current financial situation, identifying and clarifying your goals, designing the appropriate plan for pursuing them, and monitoring its progress over time. We look at planning through a wide lens and develop strategies designed to pursue your short- and long-term goals.

Income & Retirement Planning

Preserving your wealth and maintaining your standard of living are among your highest priorities. People are living longer today, so the possibility of spending 30 years in retirement requires careful planning and disciplined investing. We can create a plan for monthly distributions from your portfolio designed to preserve your principal. We can also assist you with longevity planning, required minimum distributions, income planning, tax strategies, asset preservation and reallocation, account titling and beneficiaries, multigenerational wealth transfer and charitable giving.

RMD's are generally subject to federal income tax and may be subject to state taxes. Raymond James and its advisors do not offer tax or legal advice. You should discuss any tax or legal matters with the appropriate professional.

Business Succession & Liquidity Planning

Transitioning out of your business is one of the most significant financial events of your life. We help you plan your exit—whether through a sale, merger, succession, or step-back strategy—with clarity, confidence, and tax efficiency. Our goal: to turn your business equity into lasting personal freedom. Succession isn't an event—it's a process. We help you prepare the next generation of leaders, reduce transition risks, and preserve business value. Whether succession stays in the family or shifts to key employees or buyers, we help ensure your financial future remains protected through every phase.

Tax Efficiency Planning

Taxes are one of the greatest expenses in wealth management—and one of the most controllable. We work proactively to help reduce your tax exposure across investments, income, retirement accounts, business exits, and estate plans. Our integrated tax strategies aim to keep more of your money working for your purpose.

Raymond James and its advisors do not offer tax or legal advice. You should discuss any tax or legal matters with the appropriate professional.

Estate, Charitable Giving & Trust

Your legacy isn’t just what you leave behind—it’s how you live today. We help coordinate estate plans that minimize taxes, preserve assets, and ensure your wealth passes according to your wishes. From trust structures to charitable giving and family communication, we guide you through complex decisions with clarity and care.

Raymond James and its advisors do not offer tax or legal advice. You should discuss any tax or legal matters with the appropriate professional.

Portfolio Management

We don’t guess—we invest with intention. Your portfolio is tailored to your goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon. Through strategic asset allocation, disciplined rebalancing, and thoughtful integration of alternatives when appropriate, we seek to balance return with resilience. Our focus: long-term performance with purpose.

Rebalancing a non-retirement account could be a taxable event that may increase your tax liability. Investing involves risk and you may incur a profit or loss regardless of strategy selected, including diversification and asset allocation.

Asset Protection & Insurance Planning

Unforeseen risks can erode everything you’ve built. We assess liability exposure, insurance needs, and entity structures to help shield your assets from avoidable threats. From life insurance to umbrella policies and business protections, our planning helps ensure you’re prepared for the unexpected.

Private Wealth Services

Affluence brings complexity—and opportunity. Our private client services are designed for high-net-worth individuals and families who want bespoke solutions, proactive tax planning, asset protection, concierge-level service, and multigenerational strategies. We bring clarity and confidence to the sophisticated challenges of significant wealth.

Private & Alternative Investment Opportunities

Access potential opportunities not found in traditional markets. From private equity and real estate to structured investments and niche strategies, we help you explore alternatives that may enhance diversification, improve tax outcomes, and align with your personal objectives and risk tolerance.

Alternative Investments involve substantial risks that may be greater than those associated with traditional investments and may be offered only to clients who meet specific suitability requirements, including minimum net worth tests. These risks include but are not limited to: limited or no liquidity, tax considerations, incentive fee structures, potentially speculative investment strategies, and different regulatory and reporting requirements. There is no assurance that any investment will meet its investment objectives or that substantial losses will be avoided.

Executive Financial Planning

We serve leaders who don’t have time for guesswork. From stock options and deferred compensation to concentrated equity and golden handcuffs, we simplify the financial lives of executives. Our planning focuses on tax efficiency, wealth extraction, and long-term freedom—so you can lead boldly today and retire confidently tomorrow.

Family Governance & Multigenerational Wealth

Wealth that lasts is wealth that’s understood. We help families develop shared vision, financial fluency, and a culture of stewardship. Through education, communication frameworks, and succession planning, we ensure your values transfer as powerfully as your assets.

Philanthropy & Impact Planning

Financial planning is not an investment product, but rather an ongoing process designed to help you achieve your goals by making smart decisions. It begins by evaluating your current financial situation, identifying and clarifying your goals, designing the appropriate plan for pursuing them, and monitoring its progress over time. We look at planning through a wide lens and develop strategies designed to pursue your short- and long-term goals.

Longevity Planning

Retirement concerns are not solely about financial matters, but also about quality of life and levels of independence. Because people are living longer today, many of today’s retirees can expect to live another 30 years. It’s why we also provide longevity planning, to address important issues associated with aging and the effects of increasing life expectancies, as they relate to housing, healthcare, caregiving and transportation.

Nonprofit Strategy & Stewardship

Nonprofits face unique financial responsibilities. We provide planning and investment oversight that aligns your board’s fiduciary duties with your mission. From investment policy design to reserve strategies and donor fund stewardship, we help you navigate complexity while staying focused on impact.

Socially Responsible Investing

Align your investments with your beliefs. Whether you prioritize environmental sustainability, social justice, or corporate governance, we help you identify opportunities that reflect your values while pursuing competitive returns. ESG screening, impact investing, and shareholder advocacy can all play a role in a values-driven portfolio.

Incorporating sustainable investing criteria into the investment selection process may result in investment perfomance deviating from other investment strategies or broad market benchmarks.

ApexFlow’s Purposeful Planning Process

The proprietary process for ApexFlow Wealth Management

Step 1

Define your why

Set the vision. Name the values. Anchor the plan.

We begin with what matters most: your life, your values, your vision. Because wealth isn't just about what you’ve built—it’s about where you’re going, who you’re impacting, and how you want to live.

Together, we explore:

  • What does a successful, fulfilling life look like for you?
  • Who and what do you want to impact?
  • What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
  • What values do you want your wealth to reflect?
  • How do health, energy, and time factor into your definition of freedom?

This becomes your North Star—the lens through which every financial decision is made. When your plan is grounded in purpose, every step forward feels intentional.

Step 2

Take inventory

Clear the fog. Get the full picture.

Before we can chart a path forward, we need to understand exactly where you are today. We help you bring together every moving part of your financial life—so nothing is missed, and everything is working in sync.

We assess your full financial picture:
Net Worth – Investments & Real Assets

A consolidated view of your assets, liabilities, and overall financial position

Taxes

Current liabilities, planning opportunities, and upcoming exposures

Estate Planning

Wills, trusts, gifting strategies, and legacy design

Cash Flow

Income, expenses, savings habits, future pensions, and Social Security benefits

Insurance & Asset Protection

Life, disability, property & casualty, umbrella coverage, legal structures, and titling

Business Interests

Equity ownership, valuation, buy-sell agreements, and succession planning

You’ll walk away with an organized, easy-to-understand snapshot—cleared of clutter and ready for action.

Step 3

Plan with purpose

Align your assets. Bridge the gap.

With your vision clarified and your full picture in focus, we build a personalized strategy to connect the two. Your plan is custom-built to support the life you want to lead—and flexible enough to evolve with it.

Your purposeful plan may include:

  • Long-term cash flow and retirement income modeling
  • Investment strategy built around your goals and risk preferences
  • Tax-efficiency strategies and proactive planning windows
  • Estate, trust, and wealth transfer design
  • Business exit or liquidity event strategies
  • Charitable giving or legacy structures

The result is a clear, actionable strategy—one that creates momentum, reduces guesswork, and brings every financial decision into alignment with your purpose.

Step 4

Adjust with intention

Ongoing partnership. Strategic clarity. Zero guesswork.

Life doesn’t sit still—and neither should your plan. That’s why we continue to lead with proactive support, strategic updates, and consistent communication. You’ll never have to wonder what’s next or whether you’re on track.

We provide:

  • Reviews scheduled at your desired frequency to track the progress of your plan relative to your defined objectives and suggest any changes where needed
  • Strategic coordination with your CPA, attorney, and family office
  • Ongoing leadership across evolving goals, transitions, and opportunities
  • A clear next step—every step of the way

This is what high-challenge, high-support partnership looks like: bold guidance, steady presence, and a plan that stays aligned—so you can focus on what matters most.

Investing involves risk and you may incur a profit or loss regardless of strategy selected, including diversification and asset allocation. Every investor's situation is unique and you should consider your investment goals, risk tolerance and time horizon before making any investment. Prior to making an investment decision, please consult with your financial advisor about your individual situation.

Do you work with clients outside of Utah?

Yes. While we’re based in Utah, we serve clients across the U.S. through secure, personalized virtual meetings.

How do I know if ApexFlow is right for me?

Schedule an introductory meeting. We’ll walk through your current situation and outline how we can bring clarity and purpose to your plan.

What’s included in a financial plan?

Your plan includes purpose discovery, cash flow analysis, investment strategy, tax planning, insurance review, estate coordination, and more. We connect every piece into one cohesive roadmap.

How do you charge for services?

We offer clear, competitive fee structures based on assets under management or flat fee planning engagements. No surprises.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. Transparency is one of our core values. You’ll always know what you’re paying and what value you’re receiving.

We primarily offer fee-based advisory services charging a flat fee based on a client's total assets under advisement. However, if deemed appropriate and in our client's best interest, we also provide commissioned brokerage services. Though our financial advisor provides clients with great care and recommendations, advisors only have a legal fiduciary obligation to advisory clients.

In a fee-based account, clients pay a quarterly fee, based on the level of assets in the account, for the services of a financial advisor as part of an advisory relationship. In deciding to pay a fee rather than commissions, clients should understand that the fee may be higher than a commission alternative during periods of lower trading. Advisory fees are in addition to the internal expenses charged by mutual funds and other investment company securities. To the extent that clients intend to hold these securities, the internal expenses should be included when evaluating the costs of a fee-based account. Clients should periodically re-evaluate whether the use of an asset-based fee continues to be appropriate in servicing their needs. A list of additional considerations, as well as the fee schedule, is available in the firm's Form ADV Part 2 as well as the client agreement. Services rendered will be dependent on applicable agreements.

How should I manage my RSUs, stock options, or ESPP plans?

We help you analyze your equity compensation, create tax-efficient exercise and liquidation strategies, and integrate them into your long-term plan.

Should I defer income using a Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation (NQDC) plan?

Possibly. We help assess whether deferring income makes sense based on your tax bracket, retirement timeline, and employer stability.

What’s the best way to handle a concentrated stock position?

We use strategies like tax-aware diversification, hedging, and charitable gifting to help you reduce risk while staying aligned with your growth goals.

How do I protect my wealth from legal or career-related liability?

We build protection through proper titling, legal structures, umbrella insurance, and coordination with trusted attorneys.

Can you help me plan my exit from corporate life?

Yes. Whether you’re planning early retirement or a new chapter, we model cash flow, equity liquidation, tax strategy, and healthcare needs to support a smooth transition.

What tax strategies should executives be thinking about in 2025?

We help implement Roth conversions, charitable giving, bracket management, and optimal timing of income or liquidation events.

Do I need a different estate plan as an executive?

Executives often need more advanced estate strategies. We help ensure your plan addresses privacy, complexity, and potential future exposure.

How do I plan around future promotions, bonuses, or corporate benefits?

We stress test your plan across multiple future scenarios so you stay in control, no matter what career opportunities arise.
